Leon has been a licensed realtor since 1993, first starting in commercial real estate. He worked in development and retail leasing and sales, focusing on power centers with tenants like Home Depot and Best Buy and large restaurant chains. When an opportunity was presented to him to work with a Nextel cell phone dealer, he quickly turned it into an ownership position, with three locations. When real estate came knocking again, he returned to the business he’s most passionate about, and started selling homes in 2005.
With Leon’s skills and expertise, it was less than one year before he moved into the management and broker role. He built his office to 287 agents with annual sales exceeding $1.3 billion on about 2,500 homes sold per year. Additionally the office closed over 3,500 rentals. His high-level recruiting was unstoppable, as he typically brought in an office, as opposed to individual agents. Always thinking bigger. After 15 years, it was time to move on, and luckily there was this amazing franchise called NextHome! Opening only two years ago, we have already grown to 35 amazing agents, and will continue to grow. With Leon’s unstoppable drive, he will surely become one of the top NextHome offices in the nation.
Leon’s magic is spending time with each individual agent to find what their super power is in selling. We all have different ones. He helps them grow their business organically, and agents in the area will continue to come to his brokerage because they want his help! Culture is a huge part of his practice, including the importance of celebrating his team’s success. He likes to give back to our agents with many events throughout the year, including dinners, parties & even trips! All to develop the team chemistry to thank people for choosing to work with us.
Giving back to NextHome would be the next logical step. His expertise of running one of the top brokerages in the nation gave him the tools and systems that he is ready to share with others! Looking forward to being a NextHomie for many years to come… this is such an incredible organization, and he is proud to be among the best of the best.
